Operation of Waiting list to fill up vacant posts of Medical Officers in the
list of 214 doctors
1. 214 Medical Officers were appointed vide letter dated 7/3/2011, 42
doctors did not join after issuance of appointment letters. 42 new doctors are
being appointed in their place as per details enclosed herewith. The following
criteria has been adopted-
(1) For General
Category candidate- The candidates next in the combined list would occupy
the roster point meant for General Category candidate. If that candidate
happens to be belonged to reserve category and has already been appointed in the
list of 214 Medical Officers then the candidate next in the merit list of that
reserve category would occupy that roster point. For example- Roster point No.
15 (GEN) Varun Saini did not join. This roster point was meant for GC
candidate. This point would go to the combined merit list of 214 candidates but
the candidate at combined merit list 113 happens to be SC others and therefore
this point would go to next in the merit list of SC others i.e. combined merit
list 276 SC (others) i.e. Dr. Komaldeep Kaur.
(2) If the point belongs
to reserve category then that point would go to the next in the merit list of
that reserved category.
(3) The complete list of
214 Medical Officers alongwith 42 new candidates from the waiting list is
enclosed herewith.
(4) A separate list of 42
waiting list candidates is enclosed herewith.

The government is also filling up 44 additional posts
from the waiting list of 214 starting from 215 to 256 it is also enclosed
herewith. In all 42 +44=86 new Medical Officers are being appointed.
